rainy season in cha am

Has anyone been to bangkok and Cha am in Sept thinking of going and wondering how heavly it rains and if they are still plenty of people there still, also are all the beach bars etc still open

Cha-am normally is a dry area.

I go there about once a month for the last 3 years.

October would be the most heavy rain as I have seen. Though it does, it is pouring heavily and goes away fast with the strong wind.

Not plenty of people, sorry. Foreigners are coming starting November while Thai will wait for October where the school has the short break.

yes Some bars will be closed from April- November .

September is right in the monsoon season and you can expect heavy rain often, but not all day. Bangkok runs as usual, there are always tourists here. Not sure about Cha-am, but i think it would be quiet. Hua Hin, just a bit further, has more to offer.
