Internal flights to Krabi

Can anyone help, I have booked flights to Bangkok in July and we have a house rented for a family holiday near Krabi. I stupidly thought we would be able to transfer to an internal flight and that I could book that later. I have just found out that the internal flights fly from a different airport. How complicated is it to transfer, what is the best way to do it and how long will it all take? The house is booked for the day we arrive in Bangkok, so we don%26#39;t want to spend time in Bangkok at the beginning of our holiday we are doing our stopover there at the end. Would be grateful for any help!

Internal flights to Krabi

AirAsia fly to Krabi twice daily. They are an excellent budget airline that conveniently depart from the new Suvarnabhumi airport, the same place your international flight will land. I used AirAsia 6 times in Jan-Feb and they are reliable and very cheap - average internal flights are about 拢20-25. Only downside is that they don%26#39;t allocate seats and their luggage allowance is only 15kg. You can pay extra for priority boarding (or just join the que early) and I think they charge 80 baht per kilo for overweight luggage.

Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways also fly from Suvarnabhumi to Krabi but they are much more expensive and the flight is only about an hour.

Internal flights to Krabi

Thanks so much, will a turn around time of 2 and a half hours at Bangkok be enough to get a plane out to Krabi?

I%26#39;ve been researching domestic flights from Krabi to Bangkok for my own trip, so some of what I found might help you.

Nok Air (nokair.com) has pretty good prices, with some flights as low as 1580 baht including tax. As previously mentioned, Air Asia also flies between Suvarnabhumi and Krabi, charging 1700 - 2050 depending when you want to travel. The third option, Thai Air, does fly from a different airport: Don Muang. But they%26#39;re more expensive anyway, usually charging around 2400.

Hope this helps!

So if we fly into Bangkok on BA from UK and want to get a Thai Airlines flight to Krabi do they go from the same airport?

If it%26#39;s from BKK, it%26#39;s the same airport. If it%26#39;s DMG, it%26#39;s the old airport.

Bangkok Airways flies to Krabi from BKK, too. No need to change airports.

Sorry meant to say we would be flying to Bangkok on BA and then onto Krabi with Thai Air but need to know it is the same airport and which one.

Thai Air operates 2 flights a day to Krabi from BKK (Suvarnabhumi) - TG 259 at 08:00 and 18:55. All other Thai flights to Krabi operate out of DMK (Don Muang). In general, Thai domestic flights with 3 digits are from BKK and 4-digit flight numbers are from DMK.

So book one of those Thai flights, Air Asia or Bangkok Airways to avoid having to change airports. Your BA flight will land at BKK.

ALL Air Asia flights operate from BKK.

ALL Bangkok Airways flights operate from BKK.

ALL Nok Air domestic flights operate out of DMK, with the exception of the short hop to Hua Hin. Nok Air%26#39;s service to Hanoi flies from BKK.

ALL 1-2-Go flights use DMK.

Transferring airports involves a 1-hour (or so) bus or taxi ride. It%26#39;s not complicated, but something you want to avoid if possible. My advice: book your domestic flight on Air Asia.

Thank you, so if I fly into Bangkok on BA and then get a Thai Airways flight to Krabi I will be fine, all from the same airport.
