Hotels near Chit Lom BTS station please =)

Hello everyone,

A very kind TA member had suggested staying in Holiday Inn as it is practically outside the Chit Lom station and within walking distance to the Pratunam markets. I was just wondering what other hotels are near the vicinity? We would love to stay at the Holiday Inn but we might have budget constraints so any alternative hotel (less than 3,000baht per night) would be great! Thanks again!

You can check the Arnoma which is about an extra minute%26#39;s walk to Chitlom (as opposed to the HI).

Have a look at Somerset Suwan serviced apartments. It%26#39;s on the other side of the road from Holiday Inn and maybe two minutes down Soi Tonson (a quiet lane) from Chidlom BTS. You should be able to get a one bedroom suite (including a furnished kitchenette) for about 2500 baht, including breakfast. The property is very nice, perhaps four stars if it were a hotel, and an outstanding value for money, as is often the case with service apartments. As you might know, service apartments do not offer the grand lobbies, multiple restaurants, large fitness centres, etc., that hotels do, but in return you get more space and a lower price.

Bangkok City Inn is around 1200b (am not sure, pls check asiarooms.com or any hhotel website) per night. The hotel is old, the cleanliness is ok, but I hate the smell. Another choice is Aphrodite Inn, new and small hotel, their rooms are small too. Only disadvantage is just small, the rest is good.

Adding on to the previous posts - it is a good 20 minutes walk past heavy human and vehicular traffic between Pratunam and Chitlom BTS Station. Of the two suggested hotels, Arnoma is a better choice as Bangkok City Inn is located one block off the main road. If budget is a consideration, I would recommend staying in the Pratunam district so you can use the savings in room rates for shopping instead. Arnoma, Baiyoke Suites, Grand Diamond Suites and Indra Regent Hotel should meet your budget of less than 3,000 baht per night. Good luck.

Thank you so much everyone for all your great input! I will be doing a lot of googling into all these places. The generosity of everyone%26#39;s time and effort replying to my million (sometimes silly) questions just amazes me! Few more months and we%26#39;re there (I know we%26#39;re going to love it there!) Cheers everyone and have a fantastic day/night wherever you are =)
