Best beach of Phuket??

Which is the best beach of Phuket? (that is not over populated by tourists) do you know of a not expensive resort right in front of the beach view that I could stay at?

Naithon Beach is probably the best of Phuket%26#39;s Beaches.

The Naithonburi is there - though not absolute beachfront - will only take about 60-90 seconds to walk to the beach.

Naithon Beach is also quite good for great restaurants - right on the sand - with last year%26#39;s prices. Try the Coconut Tree - Excellent!

Best beach of Phuket??

My very favourite beach is Mai Khao - at the opposite end from the resorts, you have to access it through the village. There%26#39;s not a tourist in sight, barely even a Thai, actually. The sea is calm and the sand is golden, long and quiet!

Mai Khao seems like a nice beach, but too remote! They dont have electricity during the day and you stay in beach huts at 800baht. It only has one restaurant. You can camp in a tent on the beach.

I got a taxi there and decided to go to the beach further down- Nai Yang. It had a few more guest houses- I paid 800baht for a double room with electricity and hot water, and around 8 retaurants/bars. It is also remote and beautiful.

I%26#39;m with Ted. Naithon is great.

There%26#39;s a good combination of very quiet, tropical beach with good snorkling and surrounded by hills %26amp; forest and it has a few services to make life easy.

It was definitely the best option for me by far.

Agree, Naithon is great. I was there last month. After drove around Phuket a couple of times to check out different beaches, I think Naithon is the best. I stayed at Phuket Naithon Resort in a seaview standard room. It%26#39;s the closest you can get to the beach on Naithon and at 1500 a night is just fantastic.

Just reading your posts, and also looking for nice beaches, how do you get to Naithon Beach? we are staying out of Patong at the Sunset Beach resort, also what beaches are good in May, we have been before in April and June and haven%26#39;t seen a beach like in the photoes yet, I guess being the monsoon season they are rough, but are there any that are nice and calm at that time of year?
