Koh Tao Viewpoint Resort

Hello... we%26#39;ve just booked this up hoping to have three days of paradise while we%26#39;re travelling - I don%26#39;t know whats happened as yesterday the reviews on th net I read weere excellent but I%26#39;ve just looked again and they%26#39;re awful!!! Please can someone tell me that they%26#39;ve stayed here and its nice!!!

Koh Tao Viewpoint Resort

Hi,

It%26#39;s a nice place in terms of how the bungalows are built, overlooking the sea. A bit far away from the village and the restaurants / bars.

Just take it easy, enjoy the seaviews from your bungalow and don%26#39;t be too demanding... you will love it.

Been there last August.

Koh Tao Viewpoint Resort

Just returned.. the views were AMAZING and the balcony was lovely BUT the flashy bungalow has not been looked after... there was one 20 watt bulb to light up the whole room and we could not see a thing at night!!! The flashy black tiled bathroom... lovely but they had tried to be really arty by putting the light BEHIND a pillar??? again could not see a thing! Service was bad, I think because it was family run (I can say that because I have a family run business and we can be a bit slack!). Food is well priced and nice enough. The thing that was most annoying was that the %26#39;resort%26#39; (resort it is not) is not sign posted from the beach. They don%26#39;t warn you of this and you have to walk along a wooden platform along the coast line (very secluded!) literally through a restaurant at one point (have to take off your shoes and everythin!) then over little beach with broken glass etc... I would have cleaned the junk up if I was the hotel... We booked ourselves into the Koh Tao resort where for the same money we were in the worst room of the hotel but it was LOVELY! Infinity pool overlooking the beach, cocktails by the pool, food was good, room cleaned every day cos sand gets everywhere! Free bottled water in rooms, topped up every day.. really good, would def reccomend Koh Tao resort (although I did miss the balcony of the viewpoint!!)
