Floating markets on Sunday

Does it make any difference what day of the week we visit the floating markets? We are planning a tour with Tong on a Sunday - are they more or less busy on the weekends? Thanks!

I am sure Tong will try to get there before tourist buses come. She knows her stuff.

what about other sites (Grand Palace, canal tour, etc) - are they also better to visit on the weekdays?

other places , i guess it is the same.

for floating i think weekends are more fun. lots of people but more fun though.

some people want to do BKK tour on weekend because the traffic will be less busy..but if you visit on Mon-Fri, you will get to see more buildings as some are closed on the weekend..hard decision though.

Thanks so much for your responses! I did a quick look at several sites that we definitely want to see (Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Jim Thompson House, etc) and most seem to be open daily. Can you think of any major sites off hand that aren%26#39;t open on weekends? How about the canal tour - better on weekend or weekday?
