Bus transfer from Bangkok airport to city

I%26#39;m flying into Bangkok on a weekday around 8pm. I have a few hours to spare before meeting up with my gf so I thought I might catch a bus into town. Is it easy to get a bus to Sukhumvit area? (my hotel is very close to Nana BTS). What number bus do I catch and where do I catch it from?

AE3 goes directly to Nana and costs 150 baht, leaves from outside Arrivals.

If you really want to save money, you could take the free shuttle bus to the Airport Bus Termninal, then bus #551 to Siam Paragon for 34 baht, then the BTS to Nana for something like 30 baht.
