Where to stay for Thelma & Louise

Hi,

This will be my 5th trip to Thailand but in a quandry over where to stay.

My best friend will be 60 in November and am treating her to a holiday..no husbands just shopping and beach.I usually stay at Holiday Inn but its a bit

over budget this time...Patong Bay beach and Salathai are 2 places i have seen anyone on this forum who has stayed there or any suggestions?

Stayed at the Patong Bay Garden, one of the few resorts on the beach. I would recommend the front rooms walk out of room on to beach. Small boutique resort, tastefully decorated nice brekky. Centrally located to Bangla rd. shops, restaurants, bars etc. have a look at the website: www.patongbaygardenresort.com
