Is 2 days enough and which hotel? Please help!

My husband and I are thinking about going to to Thailand over Christmas, and will spend the majority of our time in Krabi, probably the krabi thai village, I thought that since we are traveling all that way we should see Bangkok, is 2 nights enough time and which hotel is best situated for location. Thanks all help will be appreciated!

That%26#39;s a tough question that probably deserves another in return. Is it enough time for what?

You could easily spend a week in Bangkok and not come close to getting bored. Maybe a better question is,what do you like to do (i.e. do you like culture, partying, shopping, eating, etc.)? Think about what you%26#39;ve enjoyed on other trips.

Once you%26#39;ve let me know what you like to do and give me an idea of what level of hotel you%26#39;d like to stay at, I can probably give you some suggestions (as will many others in this forum).

It depends on what you want to see and do in Bangkok. Two days is probably not enough to do everything though.

I am off to Bangkok for the 4th time so 2 days would not be enough for me but on our first trip we stayed 3 nights and that was enough to get a feel for the city, see some of the main tourist sights and do some shopping.

cheers

thanks everyone sorry to be so vague, its will be our first time to Thailand, and would just be looking to get a feel for the place, see the culture..Thanks.

There are many activities in Bangkok, 2 days in bangkok is not enough surely. In Bangkok, you should go to the famous of temples (if you like), and many shopping places such as JJ Market, Platinium Plaza, Pantip Plaza, Siam Center, Paragon, and etc. However, if you would like to go to floating market, you can go to Amphawa at Samutsongkarm. It is not far from Bangkok.

Moreover, there are many great restaurants where you can enjoy with lunch, dinner either.
