We (couple in mid 40%26#39;s) have already booked accom at Amari Coral Beach for 6 nights in April/May. Any recommendations for sightseeing tours (buy here or there and who is reputable?). We want to go to Phi Phi island, elephant trek, etc or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, any restaurants out of the mainstream that are a MUST to eat at?? Any feedback would be great as it%26#39;s our first trip to Thailand.

My husband and I are also in our 40%26#39;s and travelled with our 3 children to Phuket last year. We had a fantastic experience with the John Grays Sea Canoe ';hong by starlight'; tour. You get to go inside the hongs ';sea caves'; during the day and again after dark. I would also highly recommend the Siam Safari for your elephant trek. We did the 4 in 1 and had a great time. We also had the best day ever with Coral Seekers. We got our own speedboat and crew for the day and went snorkelling at the outer islands. They also do Phi Phi I think. Not as expensive as you might think.We never had a bad meal-just walk the streets and take your pick. We did enjoy the ';after beach bar'; for dinner.It%26#39;s located just outside of Kata and has the most amazing sunset views and is a great spot to kick back with reggae and dinner and a Mai Tai! We also loved the food at the Rocks restaurant at Karon for a special treat - part of the resort - Marina Phuket? I think....have fun
