Family Accommodation in Krabi

We were planning a visit to Krabi around the beginning of April. Can anyone give suggestions about accommodation?

We are looking for somewhere in a relatively quiet area on or close to the beach. Air conditioned rooms. A decent sized pool suitable for older children would be a plus.

There are four of us two adults and two children aged 12 and 10.

We%26#39;d be willing to pay around B5000 a night total cost i.e. not per room so we would have to go for a two bedroom apartment, a small villa or a cheaper hotel that would give us adjoining rooms for B2500 each.

Any advice gratefully received.

I have stayed with the kids at 2 villas previously : Kaleane Villa 20mins drive from Aonang town centre and Ao Nang Villa 10 mins drive. Both pretty private villas with kitchenette and pte pool. Suggest u rent a small car to move around.

I%26#39;ve been advised elsewhere against driving locally. Do you think Krabi is okay for someone not used to local roads to hire a car?

go to Ao Nang Villa Resort/hotel. located next to the beach, 5 minute walk to downtown Ao Nang. x2 large swimming pools. they have deluxe connecting rooms. cost about 2000B per room per night including ABF. they also have a Budget Rental office in the hotel.
