Yes ,i,m going to be in Pattaya this year, i came back from Sa Keow on the last day of Songkran last year so missed most of the fun but my brother experienced the lot. Absolute traffic chaos, it took 2.5 hours to travel from Sukhumvit rd to Soi Potisan where my g/f, s sister lives.Cant wait try it this year.

Considering going for 2 months at the end of the month! Need to get away from the dull UK weather

so do you think it will be non stop wetness even at night ? like do they stop at a certain time ? lol just wondering ...kind of curious

i will be in chiang mai for song kran festival ..... i think it will be great , considering the heat that i am expectiong ....the cooler water will be welcomed - to cool us down .

I have been warned , not to wear white !! for obvious reasons ......lol

cheers

I arrive in Bangkok on the 12th April - can%26#39;t wait for the water! Bit worried I might be a bit too jet lagged for it all though.

we arrive on the 12 th for 4 nights at the banyan tree , then of to phuket for 14 nights at the le meridian.

all of you will have a brill time had songkran in bangkok and pattaya .Fantastic fun ,everybody has a great time and sure get very wet as well.Miss it this year by 10 days.Found really as it gets night time then it is quiet on the water front.Found that the festive lasts for days especially in pattaya, great to be a kid again

ahh i can%26#39;t wait for it to be april already !

im wondering if i should buy bug spray here or buy when i arrive ?

I wouldn%26#39;t worry about bug spray but if you like to use it, buy it at home. You never know if you%26#39;re getting the real thing here.

As for songkran, it depends on where you will be but most of the time, the water works don%26#39;t quiet down at night.

A word or caution, be very careful with any electronic equipment because Thais couldn%26#39;t care less whether your toating a $1000 dollar camera or wearing an Armani Suite. They%26#39;ll blast you with water and baby powder regardless.
