Thai airways

Has anyone flown with Thai air from London Heathrow? Opinions and experiences please!

Thai airways

Yes I have flown with Thai Airways from Heathrow last October %26amp; will be flying with them again in about 2 weeks time. Had an excellent flight with them, staff were very attentive. They dont have TV%26#39;s in the back of the headrests like some airlines do though.

I,m flying with them on April 12th, personally i would not fly with anyone else. This is my 8th. trip in 3 years to Thailand.

we are flying with them april 11th, on the night flight.

it will be our second time flying thai airways.

we did feb 2007. had great flight , lots of leg room, good food. and nice air crew, only down side is no tv in seats. but not big problem really .

at leased it%26#39;s a direct flight.

2006 we did manchester-bangkok with emirates, great flight and entertainment, and also good food.

but what a journey,manchester-dubai -6 hrs,then wait in dubai airport for 5hrs, then dubai-bangkok-6.30hrs.

personally i rather go without tv%26#39;s in seats and fly direct.

I think they are one of the best for food and sevice but the worst for entertainment, if you have the over night flight its good if you can sleep. Eva are probably the best for direct flights at the moment.

I second everybody elses opinions. Thought they were fantastic when hubby and I flew with them last November. Great friendly and attentive service, food great and leg room excellent at 34'; for economy.

Would definately recommend and would definately fly with them again.

Enjoy!

We have been home 4 days having used this airline. We were so impressed with the level of service, it was excellent. They very frequently come up and down with soft drinks. They are so so so courteous. The food was very good with a choice for breakfast and dinner. The plane was very clean, including the toilets. They change uniforms halfway through!! BUT NOW HERE COMES THE BUT.......... Before we went we felt it rather sad that people mentioned that there were no seat back TV%26#39;s.... no big deal I felt, BUT, what I hadn%26#39;t realised for example was that on the long 12 hour flight home they only showed a 15 minute TV practical joke show not long after take-off and then only one movie of less then 2 hours, 9 hours later !!!!!! It was a night flight comming home, but who can sleep/read for 12 hours and of course thats unavoidably distrubed by fractious babies crying? It was not the end of the world and I know some will say %26#39;Get a life%26#39; but if I%26#39;m gonna nit-pick its the only single fault I can lay at Thai airways doorstep!

Agree entirely with above. Thai Air as a fantastic economy service, but it%26#39;s let down without a good IFE system.

There is a compromise though, if they had the seat back TVs, you would lose that 34 seat pitch because of the AVOD system being placed under each seat.

Still by choice, I would always fly with Thai.
