Shopping advice - are we missing anything!?

Hi everyone,

Not long now till we leave (16 march).

Bangkok is our BIG 3 day shopping experience. Were young girls (21 years) and were basically into finding clothing (tops, jeans, belts), jewellery, handbags, shoes etc.

Where shouldnt we miss/are we missing anything?

We are doing the following:

1. Chatuchak (late on a sunday arvo due to our flight - will only have a couple hours but better than nothing)

2. Suan lum night bazaar

3. Patpong market

4. MBK/Bonanza mall

5. Siam square

We don%26#39;t have endless amounts of money to spend so the big plaza%26#39;s/malls that sell expensive designer products are unfortunately a waste of our time!

Shopping advice - are we missing anything!?

Pratunam Markets near Indra Regent Hotel.

Platinum Mall opposite Amari Watergate Hotel, and quite near Pratunam Market and next to Pantip Plaza (tech stuff).

Shopping advice - are we missing anything!?

I%26#39;d definetely recommend the Platinum mall too!

Chatuchak late on Sunday will be a little hot!

Use cash for cheap purchases, avoid using your credit cards for cheap things to cut down on the possibility of credit card fraud, restaurants too!

On Phetchaburi Road, near the Baiyoke Tower Hotel, you will find lots of street vendors. Clothing is a good buy here because of so many wholesalers.

You can find shoes and handbags in the Krung Thong Plaza (near the Baiyoke Tower Hotel.)

Have fun.

platinum mall was a bit of a waste of time. It%26#39;s more thai fashion... but if you have time then go.

xx

Thanks everyone - really appreciate it.

Infidelal - will definitely try Phetchaburi Road and the Krung Thong Plaza on our spare day. Thanks for the link - the plaza doesn%26#39;t look half bad.

Izzy - i have planned our bangkok shopping around your advice and i don%26#39;t think we will bother with platinum - if you didnt buy anything there and thought it was a waste of time im pretty sure thats exactly what we will think!

Yonny - are Pratunam markets near Phetchaburi Road and Krung Thong Plaza?

i%26#39;d definately go to central world plaza.

Bo Pae wholesale market a 10 minute taxi ride from Siam.

Yes, Pratunam, Krung thong, Pantip, Platinum are all in the same area.
