can anyone tell me accommendation in chang mai that is quite decent and reasonably priced near or around the excursions, looking at maybe baan pai village but not sure if its far away from anywhere.

I stayed at Sri-Pat Guest House in Chiang Mai, which is %26#39;quite decent%26#39; and cost 900 baht/nite.

Baan Pai Village is not in Chiang Mai, it is some 140 kilometers away in the town of Pai.
