off to pattaya in august for a month never been before we have booked in here for the first week till we figure out whats what. anyone stayed here and how much spending money you reckon i should take for the month this is my first time in thailand so havent got a clue about the place so thought this is the best place to find out more all help appreciated cheers

hi we stop very close to rock house areca lodge,we go in april and i am going to check it out ,will let you know want i thought about it.About spending ,it can be as cheap as you want to be honest or expensive as you want.Me i like to party,if i have between 拢75 and 拢100 a day i dont have to start looking at my money,but again depends on the individual and want kind of holiday he or she wants.Food is cheap get a good thai meal for 100 baths or street food even cheaper,beer between 35 bahts to 70 bahts .If go to go go bars expect prices to be more roughly 120 bahts

i have stayed at the rockhouse and found it to be quite adequate if a little overpriced compared to what you could get for say 1000 baht in a decent low season priced hotel. (i presume you have seen the rockhouse website) 3 rooms above the bar. negative criticism being that you had to pay extra for bed changes (remember its not a hotel in that sense) also lk metro can be noisy into the small hours, very nice landlord who has a wealth of local knowledge, bar has its own (about 12) bar ladies! the area in general is very well placed only 10 mins walk from beach, also nearby 711%26#39;s, laundries, money changers, massage parlours (lolitas!!) gogos and many bars both on lk metro and soi diana.

if you like to drink into the wee small hours this may be the place for you.

Your spending money of course depends upon the extent of your %26#39;activities%26#39; as they say! in my recent visits i have always tended to overbudget but have found that 拢100 to 拢120 per day readily covers all activities (unless you go really gaga!!)
