Tiger Temple tour

Does anyone have an idea what the cost of going to the Tiger Temple in a private airconditioned car with driver would cost in Thai baht for two people? I will search for Tong Tours in the meantime. I have been given the cost of such a tour with lunch in a local restaurant, entry fee to the Temple etc included in the cost but am not sure how this compares to others. Would be interested to hear from others.

Can%26#39;t say about tours but the Temple has a website at:

Tiger Temple tour

am looking for a similar thing - just want to go to the temple and maybe elephants and come back.. have already done jeath railway/river kwai/floating market, war cemetery, but tong isnt listening and keeps offering me 12 hour trips!

Kanchanaburi is only a couple of hours away so i just want to set off around 10ish.. can anyone recommend any tour companies that would accomodate?

Tonee, check out Tong on www.tourwithtong.com as she will be able to accommodate you I%26#39;m sure. We%26#39;ll be doing two tours with her next week and what impressed me was that Tong has remained in regular email contact ever since I made my first enquiries with her. You will see from previous tripadvisor reviews that she comes highly recommended. Shall review it all when I return from Thailand at the end of March.

Hi

I have actually emailed Tong a couple of times and her response times ahve been great, but her replies have alwyas mentioned floating market and kanchanburi, which is a 10-12 hour trip (that ive already done on a previous visit).

I just want to see animals, and i dont want to start till about 10am :)

If you leave Bangkok at 10 for the floating market, you will miss it. 6:30 and you get there before the bus tours that use motor boats and it%26#39;s very pleasant. By 9:30, the floating market is packed with tourists, many on big and noisy motor boats (a real ambience killer with the noise), and it%26#39;s time for you to leave.

We did the floating market with Tong, left Bangkok at 6:30 and were back around noon. Great morning, much better than the time we did it on our own.

and there was me thinking i%26#39;d made myself clear in the last posts.. i give up!

What%26#39;s that supposed to mean?

Your meaning was clear. You want to leave Bangkok at 10. You want to go to the floating market. I%26#39;m telling you that leaving Bangkok at 10 is much too late if you are going to the floating market.

Just because the answer doesn%26#39;t tell you what you want to hear doesn%26#39;t mean you weren%26#39;t understood.

OK...now I get it. My mistake. You don%26#39;t want to go to the floating market...Tong wants you to. Sorry about that.

If you tell Tong exactly what you want to do, she%26#39;ll do that for you, I%26#39;m sure. She had no problem doing short days for us with few stops and not her usual itineraries. Just tell her exactly what you want.

If you find that she isn%26#39;t working out for you, somewhere there is a post here that lists lots of guides with contact information...just search for bangkok guides.

Toneer,

Have a look at the Good times travel web site. They have various tours etc or you can tell them what you want to do and they will give you a price. We used them to pick us up from Bangkok airport and take us to Kanchanaburi. The next day we went on a tour with them . Guide was friendly, spoke English well. I%26#39;m sure they will be able to do what you want to do...

regards Karin

Just look around till you find something that suits you, what more can we say?
