Banglampoo back to Asia hotel

Hello all,

We have planned to go and see Khao San Road area when in BKK in two weeks. It will be an afternoon and evening trip over there. I understand that we can take the sky-rail to Saphan Taksin and then the express boat to Banglampoo but as it will be very late when we return, what is the best means of transport back to central shoping area/Asia hotel? I have read that the river express boat finishes running around 6pm and the sky-rail at 12am.

After looking at a map of BKK, Banglapoo seems right out of the way.

Any comments would be appreciated,

We stayed at Asia and went by taxi to KSR and back one evening. We agreed on 100 bath or so each way, if I remember right. It will be less I guess if you can get meter instead.

If you are more than one person and sharing, I don`t think you will save many bahts going by boat and skytrain. Exept from that, it is of course fun going by boat. And the skytrain is comfortable and clean compared to taxis and buses in the polluted streets.

KSR itself was nothing but a very crowded and typical tourist street with some bars and all the usual souvenir shops and stuff that you will find everywhere else.
