we are invited upcountry during our visit to bkk.

what is up there? any feedback, favorite areas?

what do you mean by up country thailand is large.

Where?

but once you get away from bangkok and the big touristy beach area%26#39;s you get to see the real thailand.

there are lakes and forest, farm lands and rice fields

lots of temples or wats. very friendly and gracious people

well worth a visit or long stay

Anywhere out of Bangkok is called Up Country!

Strange really when it is such a small country to start with.

You host will have a definite place in mind, don%26#39;t worry.

Also a Thai local %26#39;%26#39;Resort%26#39;%26#39; means any hotel in the countryside and does not equate, in any way, to the American/Western idea of Chain Resorts!
