Mr Sam for a day September

Hi again, my gosh I am learning alot about Phuket, it has been so easy planning our trip with the information from this forum. We are staying at the Kata Thani early september we wanted somewhere quiet, we both need to stop and unwind. Hopefully this is the right place. We have booked Mr Sam for 2 days, we are doing the day Phag Na bay trip and have a day booked for sightseeing (shopping) or probably just shopping. This happens to be a Staurday so he is going to take us to the Phuket City night markets. Any suggestions, has anyone been to the Jim Thomson outlet where you can by silk off the bolt? I would also like to get a few nice silk tuni/multipurpose layering dresses thingies! Love the metalicus clothing so I want to get a few pieces that will work in. Girls you will know what I mean! Any suggestions for this line of shopping? Also want to have a hunt for kids clothes for summer, 2 and 4 yr old (they are staying home with Nan and Pa). Anywhere else that we should check out that isnt easy to get to ie ceramics etc. Thanks

Hi did not do the shopping trip but you will love the trip to phang nga bay. You will not need breakfast as he takes you to his friends house and you end up with a banquet. Great day out though and what a friendly guy . Enjoy

HI Baumy, what are the contact details for Mr Sam %26amp; also do you know how long it will take you to do the Phag Na Bay trip. How did your trip go?

Hi Sue and Phil,

if you have a look at www.cathyandgarystravelpages.com Cathy has a link for recommended drivers in Phuket and also a link to their email addresses. Great website with heaps of info, prices etc

Ohhhhhhhhhh Jim Thopson!! Yes if you love fabric then definitely get your driver to stop off here, (go to the one which is the big outlet near to Central). Silks are to die (dye) for...but not that cheap! We are having a house built in Laguna - Bang Tao Beach, (we fly over to complete on April 3rd), and during our last trip we ordered the making up of all the blinds and curtains, the girl who measured up came with me to Jim T%26#39;s to help choose the fabric. All the staff were very helpful but had to keep an eye on the budget with some of the silks being 拢30 plus a yard.... However there were some fab ones at about 拢6 yard. If you are thinking of getting a tailor to make garments for you then definitely consider getting the yardage and buy the fabric from J.T., then just pay for the making up. Over the years we have had some lovely things madeup but sometimes the fabric is ';polyester'; real silk...!!

P.S. If anyone is organising the making up of curtains/blinds in Phuket I will be happy to share my experiences.
