Koh Samui or Ko Chang?

My husband and I are travelling to Thailand for 9 days in the beginning of June. We wanted to include an island/beach experience for about 3-4 nights. We are intrigued by Ko Chang and Koh Samui and are not sure which one we%26#39;d rather visit. We would like to visit an island that is not too westernized and overly touristy but that also offers the comforts us westerners expect (i.e. air conditioning, toilet in room, pool, close to the beach, not too much construction or street noise). If anyone has advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Now in Koh Samui The weather was perfect at this time of year at around 26 degrees and not too humid.I recommend you stay in koh samui at Samui Palm Beach Resort.One of the most gorgeous places I have ever stayed. My husband and I loved everything about this hotel: the room, the property, the service, the pool, the food--it was all quite perfect. I would definitely recommend it.

Koh Samui or Ko Chang?

Although I am thinking of going to Koh Samui this year. I do highly recommend Koh Chang, especially if you are looking for somewhere which isn%26#39;t %26#39;westernized%26#39;. Try and have a search for Paradise Palms Beach Resort/Bungalows - it is run by a Thai-English Couple and they have three very comfortable bungalows which look out over the Gulf of Thailand. The sunset from the front bungalow is absolutely incredible! - and very romantic ;o)

The bungalows have aircon, fridge, toilet and shower. there is no pool - but you wont need it. White sand beach is only a short taxibus ride away. and lonely beach is a bit further on (although up a steep winding road)

ALthough June is %26#39;wet%26#39; season, so the weather can be a little unpredictable at times. but this means you may get a better deal from the owner???

you should go to koh chang as koh samui is too busy and

its for people who like party. koh chang is very very nice and a lost cleaner.

my vote is koh samui as well, just come back from koh samui on feb 8th and loved it, thought it was so peaceful , and we are not people who party

Hi, Koh Samui has more beautiful beaches than Koh Chang, but both are quite ';touristy';. After the tsunami there has been a lot more development on Koh Chang and resorts are popping up everywhere.

I have been recommended two beaches on the north of Koh Panghan, the next island after Koh Samui. They are called Ao Thong Pan Noi and Thong Pan Yai. You can google them and check them out. You can walk in the forests behind the beaches or catch the ferry down to the town centre for the day if you want to shop, etc.
