Hi,

Not sure if you%26#39;ve thought about it but we used %26#39;Faraway Weddings%26#39; legal service (weddingsinthailand.com/legal_wedding_thailan鈥?/a>) which made everything easy and pretty quick on the day at the British Embassy in Bangkok. I think we were all finished within 2 hours and it cost around 21000 Baht in 2007.

We met the %26#39;Faraway%26#39; representative outside the British Embassy, checked the forms (completed before you leave the UK) and went inside to complete paperwork with the British Consul (3600 Baht fee per person required to be paid - 2007 price). After this, an affidavit is signed for the repesentative to do the rest of the paperwork. As long as you receive you passports back from the Consul before you leave the embassy, then you are free to enjoy the rest of your stay. If not, you must meet the representative the next day to collect your passports.

Hope this is of help.
