Appreciate suggestions. looking for a 2 night stay hotel - on the beach with swimming pool and child friendly.Hotel that has easy access to activities for children.

Songkran is the busiest time on the island. You%26#39;ll find that most of the good value accommodation has been booked by Thai families already.

Contact as many places as possible and see who has rooms, then decide between them - rather than narrowing down your search before to contacting hotels.

If you are driving here, expect long queues at the ferry piers. If you are on the bus,expect them to be packed and flights are probably already full unless you have tickets already.

Ideally wait a few days until it Songkran is over and then come, it%26#39;ll be a much nicer experience.

The hotel really depends on your budget and how old your kids are.

But have a look at:

KC Grande,White Sands

Kacha Resort, White Sands

Paradise Resort,Klong Prao

Klong Prao Resort,Klong Prao

Sea View Resort, Kai Bae

and see if they are what you are looking for. Sea View is the quietest spot - but fine if your kids can walk for 10 - 15 minutes to get to restaurants, shops etc. Also good place to canoe as there is a small island nearby. Those on Whitesands are on the busiest beach, but handy for shops etc- maybe easier for you if your kids are young.

Thanks so much Ian. My son is 3 years old. We prefer a place away from noisy night clubs. We can afford upto THB 5000 a day. I have a work permit and stay in BKK.
