Layana Resort cost of meals and drinks

Anyone who has stayed at this resort - can you tell me the average cost of evening meals in the restaurant, and the price of drinks. We have been offered an inclusive package and I am trying to work out if it is worth taking or simply do B %26amp; B. Thanks

Who are you booking with? Definately worth taking up Half Board Package. I was at Layana last October and booked half board. Food is excellent, you do sometimes have to pay a little extra for some of the food, depends on what you order. Drinks, not too bad, obviously dearer than at a local bar, but you pay for service and surroundings.

What type of Inclusive package have you been offered?

Are they the same as on Layana Web site?

Hi Tracey, thanks for your response. The quote is fromm the hotel for Feb 09 42,000baht for 7 night inclusive package, half board, transfers + extras. I have seen HB quoted in Kuoni brochure for a supplement of ￡17 night.

Hmmm if this is true then you are getting an extremely good deal.

I got quoted much much more than that for a stay at April 22nd. They are quoting me almost 80,000THB for 7 days in beach suite or over 50,000 for a garden pavilion.

Feb is still high season so have no idea how you got that price!

I%26#39;m quite annoyed now since I really wanted to stay there but they were way too xpensive for a stay in the very last week of high season.

If you look at the Layana website you will see their packages and the cost for a 7 night inclusive package high season (April 2008) is 39,900 per person for a garden pavilion and 54,600 for a beach suite. The prices I have quoted are per person - were your prices per room?

Phew! My quote was per room and was room and breakfast only, not half board.
