I have just been on the Bangkok Airways site and been quoted 845 Singapore dollars (approx £300)for a return flight from Singapore to Koh Samui in November.
This seems very expensve. The flight also shows 40 mins journey time from Singapore to Koh Samui but a return journey of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Am I doing something wrong.
Is the price correct.
Is there a cheaper way of doing it.
Are there any other airlines who fly Singapore to Koh Samui
Many thanks in advance

I tried SIN-Samui 10/11 return 17/11 on the Bangkok Airways site and got SGD 702 as the total price for their %26#39;M class%26#39; fares.
Amazing what a monopoly can get away with! Either that or there%26#39;s a glitch in their system. Check with a travel agent in the UK, perhaps?
By the way, I also checked BKK-Samui 10/11 return 17/11 and got THB 5840 (GBP 94) as the total price for their %26#39;promotion%26#39; fares. It looks like you%26#39;re limited to only the first and last flights daily though. Perhaps combine this with SIN-BKK return on one of the budget carriers - AirAsia, Tiger or Jetstar. Shop around, they constantly have seat sales and you could get SIN-BKK return for about GBP 70 taxes incl.

Thanks for the info.
Whats the difference betwwen an ';M'; fare and a ';Y'; fare on the Bangkok Airway web site.
On the Bangkok Airways website click on %26#39;M Fare%26#39; and %26#39;Y Fare%26#39; for more information.
M Fare tickets are valid for 6 months, Y Fare tickets are valid for a year. Airlines typically allocate different prices to different fare classes for any given flight - obviously the cheapest fares are booked up first. As you get closer to the departure date a nearly-full flight would have only the most expensive seats left.
I%26#39;ve just booked to go next week.

Can actually get a bit cheaper than that, but they didn%26#39;t have availabilty for my return date.
Taxes ~ S$148
Regarding the flight times you mentioned - Samui is an hour behind Singapore - so your arrival time is in local time and is 40 mins from your Singapore departure time - actual flight is 1hr 40 mins. Similarly for return - Sin 1hr ahead plus 1hr 40 mins flight = 2hrs 40 mins - hope that%26#39;s clear enough...??
