Accommodation close to Tubkaak Resort

Our daughter is getting married in Thailand in September and honeymooning at Tubkaak Resort. My family will be attending and want to stay nearby, but not at the same resort. I would like to know if there is any accommodation (reasonably priced) very close to this resort that will suit my family.

The Amari Vogue is very close (perhaps too close) and a very pleasant hotel. The Sofitel (also to be recommended)is about 5-8 minutes away and often offers very competitive rates if you check out their web site. I got a rate there of around BHT 5,000 B%26amp;B last January which was less than that at both Amari and Tubkaak.

PS

Sorry I forgot to mention:

There is a resort adjacent to the Tubkaak, the Tup Taek Sunset Beach. It is a simpler operation - prices are a quarter of the Tubkaak.

There is also a very new resort beside the Amari, the Anyavee Tubkaak, they may be offering reduced introductory rates.

Another one to look at which is about 5 minutes away is the Krabi Sands Resort very good value for money.

Hello

We live in Thailand and have visited this area many times. There is a low-key resort next door to the Tubkaak called the Tupkaek Sunset resort. They are small bungalows- suitable for a couple only- but on the same lovely beach. A bit further away, the Krabi Sands resort is also very affordable and has a lovely restaurant. There is also a new Amari which has just opened next to the Tubkaak. Transport can be difficult in this area unless you are hiring a car, so if this will be a problem for you I would go for the Tubkaek sunset (sometimes called the Tupkaek Sunset) or the Amari- then you can just walk along the beach to visit each other. The Tubkaak itself, by the way, is a great choice for a honeymoon. We stayed there when it first opened and have planned another trip in May (given to us as a gift- we couldn%26#39;t afford it ourselves!)

Regards

BU
