Buying a Tennis Racket??

Hi can anyone give me advice on where to buy a tennis racket and tennis gear in BKK? My daughter is after some tennis outfits but she is only 11 and quite small.

Most department stores e.g. Central, Emporium, and Paragon have sport section where you can find both tennis rackets and outfit.

For tennis racquets - defintely buy from the main department stores as you are guaranteed to receive the real thing.

Don%26#39;t forget to claim the VAT back too as the racquets are normally several thousand baht.

For tennis outfits you can try the Pratunam market for clothing and around that area. If your daughter is quite small it is normally not a problem because the sizing for people in Thailand runs small rather than larger sizes for Western people.

I know that there are some sports clothing shops in Bor Ber however they don%26#39;t sell in single purchases and you will need to buy five or more. (I purchased soccer shirts from a store there but had to buy five otherwise the price wasn%26#39;t so good) The quality is good too - these were the ';seconds'; from Adidas however it was due to stitching not being right in areas that you wouldn%26#39;t see unless you went looking for it. In Siam Discovery centre you will find some sports stores such as K Swiss, Nike and Adidas and depending on when there%26#39;s a sale you will find the prices quite good.

yes department stores - and sports world often located within them. I%26#39;m not a tennis player but noticed some nice looking wilson rackets - and nowhere near B7000. Also try Tesco Lotus superstores - they do super discount special offers on what I suspect were last years premium models.
