Can I just turn up without booking?

Hey,

I am going to Koh Samui mid April (approx.17th)with my boyfriend. Do we have to book a hotel in advance or can we just walk in and book? Is it a really busy time of year??

Hi, unless you have a specific hotel in mind you%26#39;ll have no problem, should get good walk in deals too! Not too busy here, although great weather. Maybe book a night or 2, gives you some breathing space.

We%26#39;ve booked flights and are spending 3 nights in bangkok first and have booked that hotel.

Accomodation on Koh Samui is so expensive through a travel agent and doesn%26#39;t seem to be that much cheaper on the internet. I went there in 2002 and walked in and got a room in the first place we had decided on before we went, but didn%26#39;t know whether it had changed in that respect 6 years on!

I think unless you arrive really late you%26#39;ll have no problem at all.
